CHIROPRACTIC CARE

NEW PATIENTS...
Dr. Sandra suggests new patients watch the videos below as an opportunity to educate themselves on the different techniques she uses in the office.

These are not her videos but videos that explain Neuro Emotional Technique (NET), Craniosacral Therapy and Chiropractic Care in general terms.

Overview

Defined as the art, science and philosophy of things natural, Chiropractic is a form of natural health care that is based on the concept that the central nervous system controls all other systems in the body and that interference with normal conduction of nerve impulses can negatively affect human health and well-being.

Chiropractors perform manual adjustments to the spine, cranium and extremities to improve the flow of life force through the nervous system. Additionally, care is taken to advise patients on proper lifestyle choices, habits and behaviors including diet, nutrition, exercise, sleep habits and stress reduction.

More information about this method of health care can be found at the website for Dr. Bontemps' alma mater, Life University at www.life.edu and the Florida Chiropractic Association: www.fcachiro.org.

Craniosacral Therapy (CST)

The focus of CranioSacral Therapy is to use light gentle methods to help the body lessen structural strain so our biological network can work at peak levels. This helps to improve our ability to heal and function fully at our optimal level.

Neuro Emotional Technique (NET)

This is a brief introduction and explanation to the technique known as Neuro Emotional Technique. I have seen great changes being made with this work, both as a receiver and a practitioner.

Stress is the order of the day for most people living a modern life. It is well known that emotional, mental and psychological stresses have very specific effects on the physical body. The burgeoning field of psychoneuroimmunology has researched and documented many of the ways in which these effects influence health and well-being. Utilizing principles and techniques from Acupuncture, Chiropractic, and Applied Kinesiology, Dr. Scott Walker developed an elegant set of procedures that allows practitioners to identify the organs, structures and functions that are being negatively affected by distress. With this process, the stored memories of emotional, mental and psychological stressors can be “re-set” in such a way that they no longer trigger the same patterns of physical response that have produced symptoms and prevented recovery from those previous stresses.

NET is a very powerful mind-body technique that is now utilized by Psychologists, Chiropractors, Acupuncturists, Dentists, Medical Doctors and many other licensed health care practitioners who are interested in comprehensive wellness care. More information can be found at the website of the NET organization: www.netmindbody.com
